Accessibility

Oxsome builds websites for home service businesses, which means the work we do is used by the general public every day. We want our own site and the sites we build to be usable by as many people as possible.

The standard we work to

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We do not claim full conformance. Accessibility is not a state you reach once and keep.

What we do in practice

• Semantic HTML, so assistive technology can interpret page structure.
• Keyboard access to interactive elements, with visible focus.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images.
• Color contrast checked against the AA thresholds.
• Layouts that work at phone widths and when text is enlarged.
• Motion kept subtle and reduced for visitors who ask for that in their system settings.
